This position is advertised as open rank. Proof of qualification should be provided in the form of an outstanding dissertation. Candidates applying for a full professorship, or an associate professorship must demonstrate completion or near-completion of a habilitation thesis, or a comparable achievement. In the case of excellent applications from foreign candidates, a familiarisation period of two semesters may be granted if it is evident that the applicant will immediately familiarise themselves on an intensive level with the core areas of Swiss constitutional and administrative law, including public procedural law.
The successful candidate shall cover the core areas of education in constitutional and administrative law and demonstrate both teaching skills and teaching experience.
Applicants will be required to have a strong network both nationally and internationally and be able to publish works and teach in German, French, and/or English.
The successful candidate is furthermore expected to perform the usual tasks of academic, faculty-related and university-related self-administration and to possess the required competence in this regard, as well as to be able to supervise staff members.
