Reception and Primary Teacher, german speaking
Job start: 1August 2026
Location: Basel-Stadt
Contract level: 50-60%
Contract term: Permanent
What are your responsibilities?
●
Planning lessons in accordance with Lehrplan 21 or CEFR
●
Differentiated teaching
●
Communication with parents and fellow teachers
●
Active participation in team meetings
●
Contributing to an appreciative, family-like working atmosphere
Ideally, you should have:
●
Swiss or German teaching diploma or a foreign diploma recognised by the Swiss
authorities/SERI (EDK)
●
Experience in an international school environment and experience with Curriculum 21 or
CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) are an advantage
●
Bonus if you have experience with the Cambridge curriculum
●
Native German speaker or at least C1 level, as well as fluent English (at least B2). (The
interview will be in English and German, and the trial lesson will be in German)
●
At least two years of professional experience in kindergarten and/or primary education
●
Work permit for Switzerland
●
Ability to work in a team and enjoy working in a multicultural environment
●
Initiative, creativity and flexibility
●
Independent, structured and responsible way of working
